Ukraine refugee support should be handled with 'dignity' says minister

More than 160 register to host refugees

Government is looking at directly assisting a 'cohort' of Ukrainian refugees in order to bring them to the Island and offer them a safe place to live.

That's according to the cabinet office minister - yesterday Kate-Lord Brennan met with the UK Minister for Refugees, and the Polish Ambassador, to discuss how best to help those who've fled the country.

More than 160 people on Island have already put themselves forward to host refugees – they’ve been asked to commit to a minimum six month period.
