No let up on Sefton deal questions in Keys

The government's land-and-loan deal with the Sefton Group is once again under the spotlight in the House of Keys tomorrow (Tues)

South Douglas MHK Kate Beecroft will ask the treasury minister what legal actions, including penalties, enforcement or default notices, have been taken against the Sefton Group and any of its officers of advisers who have been acting on behalf of it in the last five years.

Mrs Beecroft will also ask Eddie Teare under what circumstances companies may be penalised by his department, even though they have conducted their affairs in accordance with the law.

Onchan MHK Peter Karran wants to know what progress has been made implementing an independent review of the Attorney General's Chambers.

That question is for the chief minister, from whom Mr Karran also wants a statement on the matter.

And Ramsey MHK Leonard Singer will ask the chairman of the Water and Sewerage Authority why water rates are applied to premises which do not have a water supply.

You can hear coverage of House of Keys questions on Manx Radio's AM1368 frequency, and online at manxradio.com, from 10am tomorrow.
