Business installs solar panels to power 30,000 square-foot building
Businesses are moving faster than government in terms of sustainable credentials when it comes to combating climate change.
That's according to the chair of the Climate and Transformation Board MHK Daphne Caine.
Zurich International recently installed solar panels at its Island headquarters, enabling the firm to generate up to 70 percent of the electricity required to power the 30,000 square-foot building over the space of a year.
Mrs Caine was asked how government could incentivise residents to consider more sustainable methods to power their own homes:
Main road between Peel and Douglas to shut for tree felling
'Targeted and intelligence led approach' to protect Island's borders during Irish sailings
Airport Director role advertised with top salary of £120,000
Traders on Michael Street feel 'abandoned' by politicians in tough times
