No plans for vaccine passports for Island events

Government says it will 'monitor' UK situation

No plans are in place to bring in vaccine passports for entry to on-Island events.

That's according to government which says it's continuing to 'monitor' the situation.

UPDATE: UK Health Secretary Sajid Javid has now confirmed plans to ban unvaccinated people from nightclubs and other crowded venues in England won't be going ahead.

Health Minister David Ashford says work is ongoing to help Manx residents prove their vaccination status if they travel for an event:

David Ashford is standing for election in Douglas North in the House of Keys General Election. The other candidates standing in the consistency are: Kevin Oliphant-Smith, Ralph Peake and John Wannenburgh.
