There's no 'quick fix' for the shortage of rental properties on the Island, according to the chair of the Housing and Communities Board.
David Ashford MHK says the sector is 'under pressure' because of a lack of properties and a lot of people competing for them.
He was responding to a caller on the Mannin Line today (23 June) who claimed one rental property they knew of had 20 people ask to view it.
But Mr Ashford insisted it is something government is actively working to address:
