A new fisheries bill won't deliver any radical changes, but it will simplify existing legislation, according to the minister responsible for its implementation.
The proposed legislation is out for public consultation and Phil Gawne says his department is keen to hear what commercial and leisure fishermen think of the proposals.
The bill covers a number of areas but the issue of the Island's territorial waters is being dealt with elsewhere.
The public consultation closes on January 8.
