No Smoking seminars on offer.

For Manx smokers, March 30th next year is a date for your diary, when 'no smoking legislation' comes in on the Island.

The Department of Local Government and the Environment, in partnership with the DHSS Public Health Directorate, is to run a number of seminars to help businesses with the new No-Smoking legislation.

These will take place at the Villa Marina Promenade Suite on the 18th and 19th October 2007, with sessions between 9.00 a.m. and 12.00 noon each morning, and 2.00 p.m. and 5.00 p.m. each afternoon. Presentations will be made by experts with experience of the smoke-free legislation in Scotland, England and Northern Ireland. Members of the Public Health Directorate will also be in attendance to provide advice on stop smoking services.

Anyone wishing to attend should contact the Department on 685894 or e-mail ivan.bratty@gov.im indicating which session they would like to attend.
