Manx Care says work ongoing to manage demand in the short-term
Manx Care has admitted the Emergency Department (ED) at Noble's Hospital is too small, but insists it's taking steps to manage demand in the short-term.
It's after the Medical Staff Committee (MSC) highlighted a number of concerns about provision at the facility - particularly around A&E.
It says physicians are experiencing 'profound moral injury' and a 'deep psychological distress' because of the gaps between the care they'd like to give and what they're operationally able to.
Manx Care's Medical Director Chris Stockport says work is ongoing to improve the situation, but stresses he has total faith in the care provided in the ED:
