It's after a 'non-essential' recruitment freeze
Health bosses have denied suggestions of imminent job cuts at Noble's Hospital.
Reports have circulated on social media claiming catering staff have been given termination notices, and that the service is being outsourced to a private contractor.
But DHSC Chief Executive Malcolm Couch has this morning dismissed the claims as 'rumours' that had got 'out of hand'.
While a 'review of staffing' was ongoing, Dr Couch insisted the Department had no plans to privatise central services at present.
Last month, the DHSC announced a freeze on the recruitment of non-essential staff - the exact definition of which remains ambiguous.
