North Quay bar keeps its Pinnacle status 

 Co-owner Jamie Lewis said the award was a welcome boost for the hospitality sector

A Douglas cocktail bar has retained its place among the world's top venues after successfully keeping its rating in a prestigious international guide.

Kiki Lounge, on North Quay in Douglas, has retained its one-pin status in The Pinnacle Guide, a global recognition scheme for cocktail bars founded by the team behind London Cocktail Week.

The achievement comes two years after the venue was included in the guide's inaugural list in 2024.

To keep the award, the bar underwent a fresh anonymous assessment covering areas including drinks quality, customer service, sustainability, diversity and community impact.

The bar says it has continued to strengthen its reputation since first receiving the accolade, recently rising to number 28 in the UK Top 50 Cocktail Bars list. 

It has also been recognised as one of the happiest places to work in the British Isles and received a sustainability and community impact award.

Drew Fleming, co-owner of Kiki Lounge, said: “Retaining our Pin means even more to us than receiving it the first time, it's proof this isn't a one-off, it's how our team consistently shows up for every guest, day in and day out. 

"We're proud to still be on this journey with The Pinnacle Guide as one of their original bars; and even prouder to be flying the flag for the Isle of Man on a global stage." 

Fellow co-owner Jamie Lewis said the award was a welcome boost for the hospitality sector and thanked Manx customers for their continued support.

The bar will also be taking part in this year's Big Manx Feast, where it plans to operate a pop-up cocktail bar during the event.
