North Quay changes

A reminder to motorists that Market Hill onto North Quay in Douglas will be closed to through traffic from today (Monday) as work on the North Quay environmental improvement scheme continues.

The closure will remain in place until the scheme is complete around late summer.

The short section of one-way on Market Hill between its junction with Chapel Row and its junction with North Quay will be temporarily suspended too, with the taxi rank in New Bond Street and Harris Lane reversed.

The short section of one-way on Chapel Row from Market Hill to New Bond Street will also be permanently reversed so vehicles wishing to use the old bus station car park, or exit via North Quay, must travel down Market Hill from Lord Street, turn left into Chapel Row, then either enter the car park or turn right onto Harris Lane and left onto North Quay.

The Department apologises for any inconvenience caused by the changes to traffic flows in the area.
