"We would ask that the public are respectful to the site staff, it is not their fault we are in this position", says NCAS
The Northern Civic Amenity Site has implemented new rules restricting those who can use the site.
Residents of Ballaugh, Lezayre, Garff, Andreas, Jurby and Ramsey will be required to bring identification to prove their residency.
This can be in the form of a utility bill or bank statement from the past three months.
However, those in Bride are no longer eligible, after its local authority pulled out of financially contributing towards the facility.
NCAS hopes the restriction will be 'short-lived' and an agreement can be found.
Meanwhile, the Western Civic Amenity Site will only be taking waste from ratepayers in the west who fund it, to 'protect' residents.
It comes after Bride Commissioners pulled out of an agreement with the Northern Civic Amenity Site over the cost of its contribution.
In a statement WCAS claims a large amount of people who believe they can use all the sites, which isn't the case.
It also says the cost of transporting refuse as well as maintaining service levels have contributed to the decision.
