Now just seven active cases on the Island

No new Covid-19 cases announced today

There are now just seven confirmed active cases of Covid-19 left on the Isle of Man, with no new cases announced again today.

Minister of Education, Sport and Culture Dr Alex Allinson was appearing at today's government media briefing.

It's thought five of those seven are self-isolating in the community, and two are in hospital.

There have now been 4,569 tests completed in total, 4,544 of which have had results returned, meaning 25 tests are outstanding.

Two people are now awaiting a test.

The number of confirmed cases remains at 336.

There have been no further deaths caused by Covid-19, so the number of deaths on the Island remains at 18 in the community and six in hospital.

Dr Allinson also suggested the Covid-19 pandemic could spark changes to the way teaching is delivered on the Isle of Man:
