Twelve to every public charging point
The number of electric vehicles registered on the Isle of Man has more than doubled in two years.
In November 2019 there were approximately 300 electric vehicles.
That has risen to 738 as of 14 December this year, according to a recent Freedom of Information request.
The Island has 63 public charging points.
It means there are approximately 12 electric vehicles per public charger.
Manx Utilities says 12 more will be installed before the end of 2021.
In March 2019, the Department for Infrastructure said it hopes to see 10,000 electric vehicles registered by 2030, in line with the 'low ambition' target in a Tynwald-backed climate report.
Professor James Curran's 2019 study said it was necessary that no fossil-fuel burning cars should be registered on the Island by 2035, with a more ambitious target of 2032 also suggested.
