Numbers up for Winter Hill commemoration

Significant milestone for air tragedy commemoration

The 60th anniversary of the Winter Hill Air Disaster was a significant milestone.

That's the belief of man who lost his father in the tragedy.

Thirty-five people from the Island - mainly involved in the motor-trade - lost their lives when the plane crashed en-route to Manchester.

Former President of the Rotary Club of Douglas, Howard Callow, says numbers for the commemorations both here and at the crash site were up.
