That’s how the Economic Development Minister has described the decision to sell the £5 million government-owned Nunnery to create an IT training centre in Douglas.
Tynwald yesterday (Wed 19) approved selling the Estate - deemed surplus to requirements by government - to the Manx Educational Foundation.
The MEF will be a shareholder in the International Centre for Technology, a new private company backed by a number of Island firms and led by business director Philip Vermeulen.
