Nursing 'as efficient as possible'

No room left to trim says union

A trade union says nursing care on the Island is already as efficient as it can be.

Nurses over here are due to receive a 2.5% pay rise, pending approval from ministers.

Members of the Royal College of Nursing initially pushed for a five per cent hike, before talks with the health department collapsed three months ago.

Senior Officer at the RCN Mary-Anne Parkinson says they'll work with government to identify where the money for the pay rise comes from:
