Sentence on a Douglas woman who admitted six charges of obtaining goods by deception has been adjourned by the High Bailiff.
The court was told 21-year old Tara Lee Cowell from Malvern Drive paid for takeaways worth £560, with cheques that bounced.
She told the court she thought she had sufficient funds.
Cowell also admitted making false statements to obtain social security benefits.
She forged documents giving the DHSS an incorrect address, and was overpaid almost £1,500 in Job Seeker's allowance.
She was bailed until the 15th April.
