He's hoping to draw on previous experience as a commissioner if elected
A candidate in the upcoming Onchan by-election says he is standing for a 'good working' commissioners for residents.
Nigel Dobson is a former commissioner for Garff and has previously stood for Onchan Commissioners - he hopes to draw on that experience if elected.
The other candidates standing in the by-election are Oliver Lockwood and Scott Wilson and residents can vote at The Hub on School Road from 8am until 8pm, on Thursday 14 November.
Mr Dobson says he understands there are 'personality clashes' but if elected would emphasise that the board should work for the good of the people of Onchan.
