A police officer has been forced to resign from the Isle of Man Constabulary, rather than face dismissal.
The male constable, who had been part of the Eastern Neighbourhood Policing Team, was found guilty of discreditable conduct after a disciplinary hearing earlier this week.
The officer, who hasn't been named, was removed from front line duties while investigations were carried out.
Deputy Chief Constable Gary Roberts says the force has very high standards and officers who fail to meet those standards will pay a high price.
The officer was not the constable who yesterday was convicted of a criminal offence.
