Fraudster jailed following Operation Helios
The Isle of Man Constabulary has praised the work of its officers and partner agencies following the conviction of an immigration fraudster.
Sagar Joon was jailed this week for three years and five months for his role in producing fake job offer letters and falsifying certificates of entry.
A five-year exclusion order has been issued, banning him from entering the Island after his prison sentence, and he will be deported to India once he is released.

Joon's arrest came as part of Operation Helios, an investigation launched in 2023 into an organised crime group that targeted the Isle of Man’s immigration system.
Senior Investigating Officer Chief Inspector Steven Berry says: "This conviction is testament to the hard work and dedication of all those officers and partner agencies involved.
"Our shared commitment is to safeguard vulnerable individuals and to ensure that the Isle of Man remains a safe and secure place to live, aligned with the Securing Our Island strategy.”
