Adding up the cost of heating this winter will be a priority for many householders, and a new heating fuel price comparison table produced by the Office of Fair Trading could simplify the job.
The at-a-glance table compares the unit costs of solid fuel, electricity, different types of gas, and heating oil.
And for the first time, this year the costs are broken down further, to compare prices between suppliers, where there is a choice.
Kirsty Hemsley from the OFT says people can use the information to make important decisions:
Reopening of Martin Ward delayed following further safety checks
Major reservoir projects completed on time and on budget
Law Society responds to 'anecdotal' reports of conveyancing log-jam
Repair scheme an 'antidote to throwaway culture'
