
Two Douglas pubs off North Quay are to be redeveloped.
The refurbishment of The Douglas and Clarendon pubs was to have been part of a much bigger project to develop the old bus station site next door.
But that's been awaiting transformation for more than 20 years.
Now, Heron and Brearley say they'll go-it-alone.
The brewery's applied for planning permission to update the two pubs, even though eventually they could be on the edge of a major building site.

Douglas Development Partnership is currently holding an exhibition on proposals to improve the centre of the capital.
Plans are on display this week at the Strand Shopping Centre.
