A prominent Manx athlete is hoping to help spearhead the growth of the sport.
Long-distance runner Ollie Lockley is taking up the post of development officer within Isle of Man Athletics which he will balance alongside his racing and other work commitments.
The 30-year-old says the Island is fortunate to have good infrastructure already in place and it's important this is maintained to keep providing competitors with opportunities.
Ollie adds trying to recruit more volunteers, to make sure local events can go ahead, is one of his main priorities:
