Commissioners concerned over gas changes

Onchan commissioners have written to OFT over new gas pricing structure

Onchan commissioners have written to the Office of Fair Trading to raise their concerns over gas bills.

Last month, Manx Gas unveiled a new pricing structure that will increase standing charges while reducing the price of the fuel itself.

But at a board meeting, members expressed their worries over the move – and have now written to the organisation.

Commissioners chairman Robin Turton says there are a variety of potential problems.
