Gabriella Corkish says it's 'important' to develop facilities to meet needs of all children
Onchan Commissioners will be undertaking an 'accessibility' review of all the equipment in the park.
Board member Gabriella Corkish says it's 'important' that the local authority develops the recreational facilities to meet the needs of children with disabilities.
The review will initially be carried out at Onchan Park, before being carried out in play areas across the housing estates and wider village.
At last night's meeting, the commissioners agreed to replace a piece of apparatus from the toddler area of the park - however a discussion on this has been deferred to allow officers time to get quotes and dimensions for a replacement piece.
Miss Corkish says the commissioners need to be 'realistic' so that new equipment which is needed is properly budgeted for.
