Planned to give them to friends
A Ramsey man's pleaded guilty to drugs charges after Christmas present-style cannabis packages were found.
Police discovered the drugs at Shane Maximillion Skelly's home two days before Christmas.
The 38-year-old appeared before Deputy High Bailiff Jayne Hughes earlier.
Skelly was initially stopped in his car on Main Road in Onchan on 23 December - when officers became concerned by his 'heavy looking eyes'.
It was discovered he had seven grams of cannabis bush in a bag in the back of his car.
Upon a search of Skelly's address on Tower Road, police found further drug paraphernalia - including two snap bags of cannabis and a jar of magic mushrooms.
Some cannabis had been packaged up in wrapping paper, which Skelly said he'd planned to give to friends as Christmas presents.
In total, Skelly had more than 69 grams of cannabis, which had a street value of almost £1,400.
He admitted one count of cannabis possession, one of possessing with intent to supply the drug, and a charge of possessing magic mushrooms.
Skelly's been bailed in his own recognisance to the sum of £500 and the case has been adjourned until 7 March.
