
The president of Onchan Football Club says it will continue to lobby for a new ground.
Plans for a new pitch, car park and changing facilities on Governors Road at the top of Blackberry Lane have been put on hold after an inquiry ruled the club hadn’t supplied enough information.
While David Quirk accepts that, he says the need for a new facility remains, especially as its current ground, the Nivison Stadium in Onchan Park, can’t be used between the end of March and September each year.
