Two vehicles involved in Old Castletown Road smash
One person was taken to hospital following a two-vehicle collision on the Old Castletown Road yesterday evening.
The fire service was called to the scene at about 6pm, with reports one person was trapped in the wreckage of their car.
When they got there, crews were faced with a scene spanning over 100m, with the two cars involved suffering extensive damage.
The road was closed while the aftermath of the collision was dealt with.
The trapped driver was cut from their vehicle and transferred to an ambulance.
The emergency services were at the scene for about 40 minutes.
