Online youth survey

Youngsters in the Island aged between 11 and 19 are being asked what facilities they would like the Youth Service to offer during school holidays.

This year for the first time, the survey will be carried out on-line.

It's aimed at giving young people a direct say in the services provided for them.

Marian Kenny reports:

In the past, a paper questionnaire has been to youth clubs and projects for members to complete.

But this year - the survey can be filled in on-line and is aimed at all young people on the Island in the 11-19 age group.

The survey has a strong emphasis on what young people want from the Youth Service in the school holidays - It's hoped other agencies serving young people can also make use of the results.

The survey will take only a few minutes to complete - on iomyouth.com - its anonymous but if you leave your first name and a contact number you could win an iPod Touch (pictured) just for taking part.

A survey for 8 - 11 year olds will be carried out later in the year.
