MHK says it's sad, but town is facing bigger concerns
An MHK says the closure of Barclays in Castletown is sad, but there are bigger issues facing the town.
The bank branch, which is only open three days a week, will be closing in February.
Arbory, Castletown and Malew member Tim Glover says only "teens" of businesses or personal accounts are held there.
While admitting having only one physical bank in the south is concerning, he says there are other problems needing attention:
Motorhome owners served with warning notices
Petition calls for pets to be recognised as beings, not property
New social housing reporting system 'more efficient' for tenantsĀ
