Minister praises schools for adapting studies in 'challenging time'
Over 800 Island students will receive GCSE and IGCSE grades as well as level one and two qualification results today (25 August).
This year is the first time grades are being determined by end-of-year exams since 2019.
For the past two years exams have been scrapped and replaced with teacher assessments due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Department of Education, Sport & Culture says early destination data suggests around 85% of those who've completed Year 11 will move into further education from September.
Many pupils will also be receiving technical or vocational qualifications which are largely assessed through practical learning.
Education Minister, Julie Edge, says it's been 'a challenging time to study' and is 'very proud' of students and teachers who've adapted.
A 'Summer Signposts' Career Advice Service is also aiming to help pupils with next career steps and future options.
