Overnight work at airport to begin tonight

The sound is expected to cause disruption in the neighbouring towns and villages

Overnight works at the airport later (Thursday 21 August) could cause noise in parts of the south.

Rock breakers and excavators will be used overnight and on Friday night on restricted airfield areas.

The sound may carry to Ballasalla, Derbyhaven and Castletown depending on weather, with officials warning residents are likely to be disturbed.

Flights will not be affected, and the work will not overrun beyond the scheduled nights.
