PACT meeting in Peel

If you live in Peel and would like a say in the way the town is policed there's a chance to do just that later this week.

A new partnership between police and the public in the west of the Island will give residents the opportunity to raise the issues which most concern them.

The group is called PACT, which stands for Police and Community Together, and all are welcome at their meeting on Thursday evening.

Acting Sergeant Gary Cretney says ideas which come from the PACT meetings will be put to police at their regular 'tasking' meetings.

He says at the moment, these meetings decide police priorities (audio file attached):

Thursday's PACT meeting will be at the Philip Christian Centre in Peel, starting at 7pm.
