Low interest in local authority elections not just a Manx problem
A pay packet is not the right way to encourage more people to stand for local government seats.
That's the view of Glenfaba MHK Geoffrey Boot.
Many seats went uncontested in local authorities at the last General Election.
But Mr Boot thinks the problem exists on a wider scale:
