Dog owners urged to be extremely careful
Police say a number of clumps of palm oil have washed up on an Island beach and are warning it's 'highly toxic' to dogs.
A member of the public reported the problem at Fleshwick beach, after their dog had consumed some.
The vet involved in treating the pet has confirmed the substance is dangerous for animals to digest.
Dog owners are being asked to take care in the area and be aware at any other beaches.
