Schools officer admits parents don't always believe active travel is safe
Convincing parents it's safe to let their children walk or cycle to school is key to increasing active travel among youngsters.
That's according to the man responsible for promoting walking and cycling routes in the Island's schools.
Part of James Maddrell's role as schools active travel officer is to ensure kids know how to avoid dangers on the road.
However, he admits the parents don't always think it's safe:
