The 2010 Scottish Widows Parish Walk got under way on time at 8am.
A record entry of just over 1700 people lined up at the NSC to be started off by former British 400m runner Roger Black.
Conditions are warm and humid, with temperatures topping 20 degrees celsius.
Manx Radio is your Parish Walk station and will be providing live updates on the walkers' progress throughout the day and night and into the early hours of tomorrow morning.
