Around 1,300 people taking part
For the 1,300 or so people taking part in the Manx Telecom Parish Walk, today is the big day.
The event sees people tackle all or part of an 85-mile route, which visits each of the Isle of Man's parishes along the way and has a 24-hour time limit.
Some are aiming to win, others to go the full distance, make it to Peel or some other personal target.
Many are also raising money for charitable causes by taking part.
Former, multiple winner Jock Waddington told Manx Radio who he thought would win the men's and women's races:
Renal patients 'near breaking point' over lack of dialysis facilities in the north
Public Health to expand 'stop nicotine' services and accept referrals from children
Fourth candidate declares for Glenfaba and Peel
Kewaigue Hill closure comes into force this morning
