1,350 start 85 mile challenge
In just under an hour's time, more than 1,350 people will have gathered at the NSC in Douglas to begin their journeys in the 2016 Manx Telecom Parish Walk.
Those wanting to complete the full 85 miles have up to 24 hours to do so.
The leaders will be eight or nine hours quicker than that, but it's not just about the race.
Many are aiming to get part of the way to achieve their own personal goals, the 32-mile mark at Peel being a popular spot, with a lot of people also raising money for charity through sponsorship.
There are also reminders for motorists to be aware of large numbers of people on the Island's roads throughout the day and night.
Support vehicles are also urged to drive and park up sensibly.
Meanwhile, this year's race will see live video streaming of parts of it for the first time, via the website, parishwalk.com
