Parking issue with Ramsey flood plans

Commissioners feel ignored by DoI

A commissioner says plans to build flood defences on Ramsey quayside will cut the number of parking spaces available in the town.

The proposals by the Department of Infrastructure, which include a concrete wall, reconstructed road, and new pavements, are on display in Ramsey Town Hall this week.

Ramsey commissioners objected to the loss of parking and use of granite in the scheme, but felt their feedback was ignored - as Juan McGuinness explains:
