Section to be one-way for a week
Motorists are reminded that a section of Peel Road is going to temporarily become one-way this week, 12-17 August, starting from tonight.
From 6pm until the same time on Friday, the section from the Railway Station opposite the end of Atholl Street up to the junction next to the Brown Bobby petrol station will be one-way.
That means vehicles coming into Douglas from the west, hoping to access lower Douglas, will need to find an alternative route.
In an attempt to ease traffic flow, parking will be forbidden along St George's Street.
The closure along Peel Road is so that Manx Utilities can carry out sewer works.
