Parts of £9 million Ronaldsway project dubbed 'cosmetic vanity'

MHK and former pilot blasts runway plans

A Douglas South MHK, and former pilot, has criticised aspects of runway resurfacing work at Ronaldsway Airport as 'cosmetic vanity'.

The second part of the £9 million capital project should get underway in June.

Paul Quine has blasted the plans saying there's no need to widen the runway starter strips:

But, Infrastructure Minister Tim Baker says there is value in the work:
