Passport charges to rise next week

Standard passport will now cost £93

The cost of a standard passport will increase by £8 from next Friday (20 October).

Increased charges are being brought in for the Isle of Man variant of the British passport.

The adult documentation will rise from £85 to £93 while an express passport will be £23 more expensive at £165.50.

An emergency passport will set you back £204.

Government says the fee increase is necessary to align with fees set by the passport office in the UK.

Passport holders are advised to check the validity of their passports before travelling and submit any applications in good time ahead of the change.

All applications received before 20 October will be processed at the current rates.
