Modified direction notice available to those who can't isolate alone
Patient transfers are exempt from certain isolation rules when returning to the Island.
Currently, anyone coming back to the Isle of Man cannot isolate in a household with other people; they must find separate accommodation.
However, those travelling for medical purposes who need assistance will be allowed to self-isolate in their home so long as everyone in the household does so as well.
Health Minister David Ashford says patients will need to be issued with a modified direction notice in these instances:
Island's finances 'in a better position than most other jurisdictions'
Completion of assisted dying bill 'the most significant moment of 2025'
Keep dogs away from Garwick Beach for next few days
Cost of sending a letter on the Island to increase in January
