Joshua Tweedy appeared at Douglas Courthouse
A court's heard a man from Peel is alleged to have had child pornography on his mobile phone.
Twenty-two-year-old Joshua James Tweedy, of Bluebell Close, appeared before High Bailiff Jayne Hughes at Douglas courthouse.
He didn't enter pleas to four charges of possessing or making indecent photos of children - all offences are said to have taken place between 7 and 9 March.
Roger Kane, prosecuting, said police officers were searching through three mobile phones which had been seized following Mr Tweedy’s arrest.
There was no application for bail, and Mr Tweedy was remanded in custody.
He'll appear again on 4 April.
