More than 100 pupils off with illness

A primary school in the west of the Island has taken to social media this week, asking parents to keep their children off school if they aren't '100% well'.

Peel Clothworkers says a lot of its staff and children have been absent with 'viral or flu-type symptoms' - Manx Radio has received reports the total number of people off is at more than 100.

The school's advice was: "if you feel your child is needing Calpol then please don’t send them in".
