Pensioners consider legal options

The Isle of Man Pensioners’ Association says it may take the government to court over the Manx Pension Supplement.

Earlier this week, Health Minister Eddie Teare said the extra cash would only go to those who have paid National Insurance here, dismissing suggestions anybody who has lived on the Island for ten years could be given it.

Association spokesman Richard Leventhorpe (pictured) says the decision means the time for talking to the government may now be over, and the organisation will now consider the legal options open to it:
