People encouraged to take second jobs in retail and hospitality

Sectors struggling with 'severe' lack of staff

​People on the Isle of Man are being encouraged to take up second jobs to help ease staff shortages across the retail and hospitality sectors.

The Chamber of Commerce there’s a 'severe' workforce shortage and believes it's an opportunity for people who're struggling with the cost-of-living.

Manx Radio spoke to people in Strand Street in Douglas about whether they've been looking for additional work:

Manx Radio invited the Chamber of Commerce to discuss its comments, but the request was declined.
