Craig Morris says sufferers are crying out for support
A petition for the Island to have a dedication service for M.E. (myalgic encephalmyselitis) has gained more than a thousand signatures.
It was started a week ago by Craig Morris who suffers from the illness, also known as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.
He wants Tynwald to establish a select committee to investigate and report on the adequacy of diagnosis, treatment and provision for those with M.E.
An estimated 300 people on the Isle of Man have the long-term multi-system disease.
Mr Morris says the petition is borne out of frustration: (play audio)
